Food Bag For The City

NEXT FOOD COLLECTION: Sunday 21st of April

We have done food collections for the food bank several times within our community the last couple of years with a great result. The community shopped like crazy and donated food items for people that need to go to the food bank for food every week.

You can imagine life is hard for these people and that they are really ashamed that they have to go to the food bank. 

We want the whole church to be involved to help the people from the food bank. We want to help  the "Voedselbank" with extra items. So we will have a food collection now every month in a new great way!

A Food Bag For Shopping

We have printed the Food Bag For The City: a bag which can be used during shopping with the shopping list printed on it, so you will always know what to get for the Voedselbank. 

While shopping you will create awareness for the people that are in need for food in the Netherlands and you might get into some interesting conversations why you are shopping for the "Voedselbank" and we hope you will have an opportunity to share why you and XRDS are doing this. 

You do the shopping, bring your bag to the church, put the items in the right crates in the lobby and take your bag home with you for another round of shopping. If you can afford it ofcourse.  

Food Collection Every Month

On Sunday the 19th of August we have spend some time explaining this project to our community and bags will be given away to everybody, so we can start caring and showing Gods love for the city!

Every third Sunday of the month after the 19th of August we will give away the bags and the food bags can be delivered to the church. 

Please do not bring your items on any other days then mentioned below as we have not much storage place in the school building.
