A Time To Build

The story of Nehemiah is about rebuilding. let us remember that we are rebuilding not just our local congregation. We are rebuilding nothing less than an Ezra-like temple of ‘Christ in us’, and a Nehemiah-like wall of being surrounded with ‘the knowledge of God’. Christ is still building His church! It is late in history, but God’s good hand is upon us, rebuilding Christ’s glorious, mysterious, upside-down kingdom in our hearts and in our world, so that this ‘rumor of God’ will not die out in our world. This is a great Work! “Let us start rebuilding!” (Neh. 2:18b)
