Children’s Church Summer program!
This summer from July 24th until August 28th we have an exciting program for all children from 3 to 7. It is a bilingual program with the theme “Animal Adventure! / Dieren Avontuur!” Children will sign up and meet in their smaller age groups first and then have a combined stage-led program with teaching, singing, story, game and prayer. After that they will end in smaller groups again with a drink and craft activity.
Children's End-of-the-Season Celebration
Last Sunday the 17th of July we had the Children's End-of-the-Season Celebration. It was great to see the parents and spend some time together. Once again we want to thank the volunteers who made this season of Children's Church possible. We want to thank Hilde for all the great work she has done in the Children's Church. Thank you Hilde for all your input and enthousiasm!!
Final update collection Noah's Ark
In the last e-letter we promised to let you know if we made it to our goal on the funds collection for Mozambique by Noah's Ark. At the end of May we had reached 1.084 euro. Our goal: 1.296 euro.
Exciting Times Ahead
Recruiting for a new Teaching Pastor has just started, and we have already received 55 applications in less than a week. We expect to receive many more and pray that God will lead and direct us in the selection process. The interviews should take place in early autumn, and we hope that the new Teaching Pastor will arrive early in 2012.
Update on youth department
Daniel de Wet has accepted a teaching position at a church in South Africa, and plans to leave around the end of August. We are sad to see him go, but rejoice with him as he is following his calling to teach and preach. Daniel and Elmien, with their children, will be moving back to a place in South Africa called Knysna. Sunday August 28 we will have a BBQ at church and you will have a chance to say goodbye to him.
For the 15+ youth group we have recruited Tory Almond on staff.
