At its heart, membership is an opportunity to say ‘Yes’ to what God is doing through Crossroads church. It is a means by which we can say ‘this is my spiritual home’ and can move from being passive consumers of Crossroads' ministries to being active participants in church-building. That's why we organize Membership seminars. The next two-session seminar will held on two Wednesday evenings: 19 June and 3 July.
Janike van Dijk will bring closure to her staff role in the Services Team in 2013. After this, the needs in the Services team will be re-evaluated and we will look to hire someone to replace Janike's hours. Hanneke Zwanenburg of the Kids Church and 10+ has taken temporarily pregnancy- and maternity leave.
We are looking for Custodians (flexible hours) and a Kids Church Assistant (a.s.a.p., 10 hours per week). Interested, or know someone who could be?
Bill and Eva Hoopses and Tinka Veninga bring closure to their staff roles in October, and Johan Verboom reduces his hours to take up a role at Tyndale Seminary.
We will not only be saying good-bye to Community Pastor Bill Hoopes this fall, who has faithfully served us for almost 6 years (see letter from him elsewhere in this newsletter), but Tinka Veninga, our Team Leader of Noah's Ark (our younger children's ministry) will transition from this role to focus on her own family and leadership of Serve the City Diemen. We hope to hire the new person for this position in the next few weeks. We are so thankful for the heartfelt contributions of both of them and we'll greatly miss them, but are assured of their ongoing friendship and partnership as God opens doors.
This has been a time of both rejoicing and of weeping as we both celebrate the life of Jodi Holzhausen who graduated fully into God’s presence on April 16, 2012 after a battle of several years with cancer, but also mourn her absence among us. We are deeply moved by the huge loss experienced by her husband Stefan, their four children, Lucy, Lucan, Tobi and Thomas and all those who her life touched; and we support them with our prayers.

The equipping ministry in Crossroads is reorganizing under the name: Open U. Stay tuned for new developments as we add learning opportunities to round out what we already offer.
Can you remember when you first walked through the doors on a Sunday morning, and sat in a chair feeling lost? It can be very overwhelming can't it?
Where do you start? Lots of people--but how do you get to know some of them. How do you meet some people with similar interests or with similar challenges in life?
Or perhaps you have already been coming for a while and you decide it is time to take a next step and get involved. Where do you start, how do find out where help is needed, how do you find out what you can contribute and how you have been uniquely made to contribute?
