The Homegoing of Jodi Holzhausen
This has been a time of both rejoicing and of weeping as we both celebrate the life of Jodi Holzhausen who graduated fully into God’s presence on April 16, 2012 after a battle of several years with cancer, but also mourn her absence among us. We are deeply moved by the huge loss experienced by her husband Stefan, their four children, Lucy, Lucan, Tobi and Thomas and all those who her life touched; and we support them with our prayers.

Open U
Open yourself to your next step in a lifetime of growing. Connect with others doing the same. Check out the courses listed in the bulletin and on the website that we've grouped together for you into Open U.
The equipping ministry in Crossroads is reorganizing under the name: Open U. Stay tuned for new developments as we add learning opportunities to round out what we already offer.
A chair… is so much more than a chair
To give hands and feet to our renewed vision and to manage the church well with the size it is now, we see that we will need an increase in budget. Crossroads has a history of generosity. Our community has consistently risen to the occasion to fund the next steps that God has called us to together. We have much reason to be very thankful.
To make the increased budget needs concrete and simple to visualize, we’ve thought about our individual responsibilities like this:
If we divide all the costs for our six ministry areas (church-services, next generation, connections, faith formation, outreach and deaconate) and divide them by the average number of adults that attend our gatherings for the 52 Sundays of the year, we come up with what it costs for each of us per adult to be a part of the Crossroads vision.
Connections
Can you remember when you first walked through the doors on a Sunday morning, and sat in a chair feeling lost? It can be very overwhelming can't it?
Where do you start? Lots of people--but how do you get to know some of them. How do you meet some people with similar interests or with similar challenges in life?
Or perhaps you have already been coming for a while and you decide it is time to take a next step and get involved. Where do you start, how do find out where help is needed, how do you find out what you can contribute and how you have been uniquely made to contribute?
Lining Up
We are on the move, not just to change the way we do things. We are doing everything we can to line up everything we do with our mission and our vision.
We are looking for a Facilities Team Leader
The main goal of the Facilities Team Leader is to provide well-maintained and safe facilities and related equipment for Crossroads as well as be a good technical support to the service teams of Sound and Multimedia. This role also strives to be a strong leader and mentor to the team of custodians and facility-related volunteers who assist this position.
Staff Update
It is with mixed feelings, both sadness and rejoicing, that we announce that Daniel de Wet has accepted a teaching position at a church in South Africa, and plans to leave around the end of August. We are sad to see him go, but rejoice with him as he is following his calling to teach and preach.
yearly members meeting
All members of Crossroads are invited to the annual financial update meeting on the evening of Monday, 6 June. Please join us at 7:30 pm at the Ministry Centre as we also take the opportunity to give a short report on the progress being made by the various leadership structure change teams.
