The mission of Crossroads International Church Amsterdam is to build a dynamic Christian community that attracts people to Christ, helps them take their next step in faith and equips them to serve God in the world.
Children's Ministry
Part of the joy of being community ('family') together comes from celebrating life at every stage of the journey, and the children of Crossroads are an endless source of joy and inspiration. We believe that from a very young age children can and do experience the presence of God, and we want to provide them with all the encouragement, help, inspiration and support they need to grow in faith. The Children's Ministry team is part of the Discipleship team, led by Daniel de Wet. The Children's Ministry team is led by two coordinators.
The mission of Children's Ministry is leading the children into a relationship with Jesus and helping them grow in their Faith. For the age from 0-11 we do this by offering Crèche and Sunday School, led by a Teacher and Helper, or Children's Church, led by Stage-leader and different Small-group leaders. Different groups with a total of about 250 children each Sunday. Imagine how they can shine their light if they give their lives to Jesus.

Assignment
As Group Planner you are responsible for setting up and updating a schedule of participation for all Stage-leaders and Small-group leaders for the Children's Church meeting on Sunday morning. You are maintaining contact with the Stage-leaders and Small-group leaders regarding continual availability. In cooperation with the Coordinator Children's Ministry you are recruiting new volunteers as Stage-leaders and Small-group leaders.
Mainly you can carry out this assignment from home by phone and mail. For recruiting new volunteers actively networking is necessary. The time involved is approximately a maximum of one hour per week. Setting up the schedule at the beginning of the new season will take more time.
What do you bring with you?
You are an accurate worker and loves working with details. You are able to work with time pressure and possess good verbal communication skills. Being an efficient networker, you are able to liaise with a variety of stakeholders with a diplomatic and tenacious attitude. You are an excellent organiser and take the initiative. Toys Coordinator
Assignment
As Toys Coordinator you are responsible for the availability of toys material for the Children's Ministry. In cooperation with the Coordinator Children's Ministry you will determine the range of toys. You are responsible for renewal and purchase. You buy new materials, but also try to find sponsors and/or financiers. But also cooperate with parents in finding second hand toys.
What do you bring with you?
You are an excellent organiser and coordinator. Being an efficient networker, you are able to liaise with a variety of stakeholders. You take the initiative and are result-oriented. Obviously, you have a close affinity with Crossroads goals and specific the Children's Ministry.

Group Helper
Assignment
As Group Helper you assist the Group Teacher in carrying into effect the determined content and structure of the Group meeting on Sunday morning in order to lead the children into a relationship with Jesus and helping them grow in their faith. You create a welcoming and safe environment for the children. As you have direct contact with the children you keep an eye on the wellbeing of the children.
As you will be a Helper once four or five weeks the time involved is a maximum of 1 – 1,5 hours a month.
What do you bring with you?
You socialise easily and love working with children and have the ambition to develop yourself in accompanying children. As a team player you like to contribute to the wellbeing of children. You show acknowledgement of the feelings and needs of children. Obviously, you have a close affinity with Crossroads goals and specific the Children's Ministry.

Group Teacher
Assignment
As Group Teacher you are responsible for carrying into effect the determined content and structure of the Group meeting on Sunday morning. You are supervising the Helper and with his/her support you will teach the children in order to lead them into a relationship with Jesus and helping them grow in their faith. You create a welcoming and safe environment for the children. As you have direct contact with the children you keep an eye on the wellbeing of the children. On regular basis you have contact with the Group Coordinator about the execution of the meetings and can give feedback about content and structure.
As you will be a Teacher once four or five weeks the time involved is a maximum of 2-3 hours a month including meeting and preparing.
What do you bring with you?
You love working with children and have the ambition to develop yourself in accompanying children. With your creativity you are able to lead the meetings and guide Helpers. You socialise easily and shows acknowledgement of the feelings and needs of others people. Obviously, you have a close affinity with Crossroads goals and specific the Children's Ministry.
