A2B
How can one little town in the middle of nowhere influence all of human history? Why do so many events take place in one small village that impact human destiny? How can the events of thousands of years ago change my life today? This year at Advent join with us as we travel from Amsterdam to Bethlehem in search of answers.
40-day Reading Challenge
Last Saturday’s Women’s event was a great time of teaching and sharing to (re)discover our roots in Christ. We were fearfully and wonderfully made but sometimes we forget. That's why the Crossroads Women's ministry has compiled a 40-day Reading Challenge for all women about our identity in Christ. Start reading along this Thursday, November 29 till the end of 2012, or catch up as soon as possible.
How: Sign up at women@xrds.nl to receive the 40 texts and weekly tips to support you in your daily reading.
When: As soon as possible! The 40 days start on Thursday, November 29, but you can also catch up a few days later.
Letter from Bill
Dear Friends,
As you can imagine, this decision to leave Crossroads and The Netherlands has been a very challenging and emotional one for Eva and I. We love the Netherlands and the people here, both Dutch and the expats who live here. We love Crossroads and have been so blessed to be here these 6 years.
We have sowed our lives here as faithfully as possible with both tears and joy. We leave behind wonderful friends and acquaintances, indelible memories, and most painfully, our beloved daughter, son-in-law and 3 grandchildren.
24-7 Prayerweek
In January 2011 we're going to do something that has turned out to be really exciting over the last few years. We are going to pray. For a whole week. 7 days. 24 hours a day. And we need you to join us!
Lessons we learn from dirty feet
At the moment I am spending time with Jesus in the gospel of John. And He keeps on surprising me. Even in stories which I thought I knew through and through. Like the story of Jesus washing his disciples' feet.
Stained Glass Masquerade
I was recently chatting with one of my young friends in the lobby after one of the Sunday services. She was relating to me her ongoing battle with cigarettes. She is refreshingly honest and open and told me a story that still makes me laugh.
