At Crossroads we do ministry together with a great volunteer force of more than 550 people. We would love for you to be involved as well and we believe there is a place for everyone to contribute.
Sunday, June 2 is another chance to 'find your dot' and find serving opportunities within Crossroads. After every service there is a chance to browse the various ministries in the lobby and find out what each ministry is all about.
At its heart, membership is an opportunity to say ‘Yes’ to what God is doing through Crossroads church. It is a means by which we can say ‘this is my spiritual home’ and can move from being passive consumers of Crossroads' ministries to being active participants in church-building. That's why we organize Membership seminars. The next two-session seminar will held on two Wednesday evenings: 19 June and 3 July.
Crossroads Is ... Crossing The Road!
After providing us with many years of loyal service – and being home to countless great services – Amstelveen College is closing its doors forever this summer. That means the time has come for Crossroads to seek a new home to meet on Sundays…. And we have found just the right place!
On Saturday December 15, from early in the morning to late in the afternoon, the Clara Maria farm in Amstelveen will be abuzz again with treasure-seeking children for Christmas at the Farm. It’s a contemporary, theatrical and sometimes smelly search for what the true gift of Christmas. It’s an event that’s become a yearly must for families, those who’ve visited and those who’ve helped. We’ve talked to some people who don’t want to miss this event again.
Every year at the beginning of the school year, both the Youth and Children's ministry have a weekend of growing together and starting the year off with some teaching, games and good food. The Youth, both 12+ and 15+, went to De Aalbertshoeve in Ermelo the last weekend of September for the annual youth retreat and had a blast.
After a lovely Sunday For The City (have you seen the pictures?) we have a question for you! Do you want to Serve your City? You can! On November 3 you can serve the less advantaged both in Amsterdam and Haarlem. Help the elderly, do a painting job and much more!
Last Sunday 650 kids and adults in total made a difference in the city of Amsterdam. All kinds of projects were happening throughout the city. About 150 people got together in the Oosterpark to write nice messages on postcards, pick up garbage from the park and to give away flowers in the hospital and people on the street.
The second weekend of September 60 dads and children went on the mission possible camp. The weather was great, the organisation superb and the food delicious. We spend time concidering the mission God gave us in Acts 1:8 and played games and assignments that followed the theme mission possible. We are very thankfull for a great weekend and for all the people who made it possible. See below for a video impression of the camp. More pictures here
